Since I was young, my parents instilled in me a love for travel. I was always lucky enough to be able to tag along on my mom’s business trips — England, Australia, Korea, and Italy were a few places we were lucky enough to go to in our early days. Since then, I haven’t stopped. I’ve traveled to over 30 different cities around the world and these are the 5 travel accessories I could not live without!

Taskin Packing Cubes — organizational hack!

Packing cubes are a must-have for travel organization. Gone are the days of trying to shove dirty clothes back into your suitcase and trying your best to squish everything in close enough to zip back up. Even when I was using packing cubes, I ran into the problem of mixing my clean clothes in with the dirty. Call me a hypochondriac, but the thought of it all squished together for weeks at a time would keep me up at time.

After hours of research, I cam across Taskin. The Taskin Packing Cubes have CHANGED my life. Not only do they have two separate compartments to keep your dirty and clean clothes away from each other, the “dirty” side of the packing cube is completely waterproof. I love that I have the option to throw in a damp swimsuit with peace of mind when jetting off to my next leg of the trip. Not only that, each cube has a third zipper to compress the entire thing together. This is the HOLY GRAIL of suitcase organization.

Anker Magnetic Portable Charger – never run out of juice traveling!

I never knew how necessary a good portable charger was until I found myself staring at the almost empty battery symbol on my phone during my first solo trip to Paris. Thankfully, I had just enough juice left to get me off at the train station by my Airbnb and I was able to make it back home.

Trust me, I have run through the gamut when it comes to portable chargers. I’ve tried cheap ones, expensive ones, free ones –I’ve tried it all. And after it all, my favorite has been the Anker Magnetic Portable Charger. Not only does it come in super cute chargers, it sticks right to the back of your phone! I hate traveling with bulky cords when I’m on the go and this was the solution.

1L Hydrapak Flux – stay hydrated without giving up space!

Although I am a water bottle enthusiast by nature, my biggest gripe with taking a reusable water bottle on my trips was the amount of space they would take up. I’m a light traveler by nature so having to lug a water bottle along with me was a nightmare. The 1L Hydrapak Flux was my solution.

Not only do I get to stay hydrated, I get to collapse the bottle and throw it right into my pocket when I’m finished! Collapsible water bottles have been my go-to for travel since 2017 and I don’t see myself going back. And when I visit a country where the water is not safe for consumption, I still get to keep hydrated on my flight and throw this little guy into my bag for later.

Patagonia Atom Sling 8L – space for all your travel needs!

I cannot tell you how many iterations of travel bags I’ve gone through since I started to travel alone. Although I’m a light packer, I feel strongly about having all my necessities with me at all times. I found fanny packs to be cute but too small and backpacks to be practical but too big. All my answers were answered when I came across the Patagonia Atom Sling 8L. It’s a perfect crossover between a fanny and a backpack — one sling, plenty of storage, but small enough to travel lightly.

I love there is just the right amount of pockets to stay organized but not too many as to overwhelm. It’s a very cute and sleek option when on the go!

Travel Pill Organizer – a must for staying good on the go!

I’ve never been a “carry medicine on you” type of girly until I met my husband. I’ve always been lucky with good health and good luck on my trips but since I began traveling with my husband, I’ve learned that not everybody’s body agrees so well with most local cuisine. And so, as somebody who travels light, you know I would not be caught dead traveling with 30 pill boxes. So again, I scoured the sites and found the travel pill organizer.

Not only was it cute, it was tiny enough to throw into my bag and not give a second thought. It has also been something I’ve used in my day-to-day. It has just enough compartments to hold all the necessary pills and it doesn’t take up too much space. Check and check in my book!
