As a former night owl, I KNOW the struggle of trying to get to bed on time. I’ve tried everything and anything to keep a consistent sleep schedule but to no avail. With a full life of work, travel, and friends. , it can be hard to be in bed every night at the same time. Although it’s not perfect, these are my secret weapons to getting closer and closer to falling asleep without hours of tossing and turning each night!
Moon Juice Magnesi-Om
As I’m sure you’ve seen, the Magnesium trend is all over social media these days. Although I’m typically quite skeptical about health trends, especially when it comes to things like supplements, I could not help but give this one a try after hours of research. The Moon Juice blend of Magnesi-Om contains three types of Magnesium –gluconate (absorption of magnesium) , citrate (bowels), and acetyl taurate (heart health). Although some people are looking for a concentrated version of just one type, I didn’t mind that this contained all three. Also, the flavor on this is FANTASTIC. I love that I can mix it in with just a glass of water or make a Sleepy Girl Mocktail with it right before bed. I found that having the routine of making this Magnesi-om drink right before bed helped to begin triggering my brain to know that bedtime was near! You can find the recipe on my page, here.

Solaray Magnesium Glycinate
Although I love how cute the packaging of the Magnesi-om product is and how helpful and calming it is to have a solid night routine, I’d be lying if I said it happened every night. Sometimes, I’m working until the last minute before bed or I’m off in another country and I don’t have everything I need to make my Sleepy Girl Mocktail. In those cases, I opt in for my Solaray Magnesium Glycinate. I love that this form of magnesium specifically promotes sleep and relaxation AND comes in pill form! Although the serving size says 4, I typically take 2 pills, an hour before bed, and am good to go! It’s been super helpful with not waking up in the middle of the night and I feel rested in the mornings.

Amazon Kindle
As my last step to falling asleep, I’ve worked hard to replace cozy bedtime scrolling with cozy bedtime reading. Although I’ve always been a physical book girly, I cannot stop raving about my Kindle. I love that I can read until I get sleepy and NOT have to jump out of bed to turn off the lights. That would ALWAYS mess up my hard earned sleepiness, pre-Kindle. Although there are so many models out on the market these days, I love that this specific model fits perfectly in my hand ( I found the Paperwhite Kindle to be a little too big). I don’t know what it is, but reading in bed is always the cherry on top to knocking out quickly.
